Massive 5.5 magnitude(Richter magnitude scale) Earthquake strikes India Myanmar border!!


According to US Geological Survey (USGS) Myanmar(Burma)-India border has been struck by a massive earthquake of 5.5 magnitude on Richter magnitude scale.

 The Earthquake struck at 6:47am GMT at a depth of 14 miles (22.8km) near the Indian village of Imphal, which has a population of around 224,000.

This region is very active with respect to seismic plates activity and the reported earthquake was the result of collisions of the India and Eurasia plates.

There is currently no information about the devastations of this quake.

The deadliest Earthquake in the history of India occurred in 2005 in Kashmir.It also occurred in Pakistan and Afghanistan.The quake killed nearly 87,000 people in the three countries.
